Surfing the internet is one of the fastest growing technological trends ever in history!  More people are surfing the internet for information, for shopping, and for leisure each and every day.

At the same time, business marketing on the internet has evolved as well.  Did you know that marketers are finding more unique and clever ways to reach you while you are surfing the internet during your free time?

You may have noticed that the amount of pop-up ads has significantly decreased since the late 1990’s and early 2000’s.  Marketers have realized that the traditional pop-up ad was just annoying and could actually damage the reputation of a business more than help it.

In many instances, you may be clicking on paid advertisements during your web surfing experience and may have not even known it!  Did you know that those small messages that appear on the right side of the page during your Google search are actually advertisers who are paying to be listed in that location?  They could be paying anywhere from $.20 to $50.00 just to be able to acquire your click.  That is no typo…all you have to do is to click their ad (without making a purchase), and Google will bill the advertiser accordingly.
